Chicken salad with 1/3 pack Aldi microwave grains. Delicious! Is this fairly low carb? 20230913_121841~2.jpg

The carb content should be given on the packet.
Personally I avoid grain as it is usually high carb.

There are two main types of grains: whole grains and refined grains. Whole grains contain all three parts of the grain: the bran (the outer layer), the germ (the inner part), and the endosperm (the starchy middle part).

Refined grains have the bran and germ removed, leaving only the endosperm. This makes them less nutritious and more likely to raise blood sugar levels.

My gut obviously didn't get the memo - grain of any sort causes a spike.
