im confused with BS

Tonight before tes i took my BS. I felt great at 3.6 but hungry . Tea was ready so i tucked into. Aubergine courgette parmasan ususlly good . took after i ate as going on a little bike ride it was 7.3 so i was happy . Came back after bike ride its. worse 2 hrs after at 8.9.
Still okay but not within normal

or is this normal ?
Hubby is sat with beer n crisps ….
oh well …..
im fat hes thin . Hes kind im mean hes calm and im in s frenzy hes high blood pressure i have a low Bp but i got the Blood sugar….but it is getting better.

It maybe because your blood glucose was quite low before you ate and your meal was not very carby if that was all you had so your liver decided to help out and release glucose to give you some energy for the bike ride by which time your food had also started to be metabolised so added to the glucose it increased your blood glucose.
I am quite surprised you had such a low level or 3.6 when all your other readings have been much higher.
 
Thats why i asked about adding carbs before but it will go high again. I have not had many carbs since i started that i feel are not allowed within the low carb diet.
it did this on low carb before but the normal Mediterranean diet made me so high so therefore I am trying to be strict low carb. It just confused me and i find no logic to it . i cannot make it up. i tested again and its 9.3 now . So I ‘m safe to sleep or think i am . I am better high than low. However its bad to be so high. However
its confusing.
 
A low carb regime does not mean NO carbs so you may be being a bit too strict but that is just speculation.
It may be useful to keep an accurate food diary of everything you are having to eat and drink and record your blood glucose test results to see if you can spot a pattern and that will also provide some evidence for your diabetic nurse. It sounds as if that is a meal to often have so check it out again and see if you get similar results.

More intense exercise in the short term tends to raise levels. The body adds glucose to the blood from the liver to give you energy. However once drained a bit, the levels for the rest of the day can often be lower for many hours. Add to that the multiple benefits exercise gives and the fact that more muscles mean lower bgl levels it’s not a bad thing. Are you on any medication?

no Im not on anything . Its good to exercise. It had gone up before i went out. . i was told to exercise after the evening meal.
It was not too strenuous just a bike ride to next village and back approx 2.5 miles in total.

Was there anything at all in the food other than courgette, aubergine and Parmesan? Did you drink anything? When did you test? A rise of nearly 3mmol seems a little higher than expected 2 hrs after that meal?

It’s possible your liver dumped glucose - due to the 3.6 - just as you ate making the rise higher than the food alone would cause. Then add in the exercise and you get the 8.9. Exercise is a bit variable person to person some get the rise I described rise from anything more than a gentle stroll, others need to be working really hard.

Honestly, other than checking hands are clean and theres no hidden carbs, I personally wouldn’t worry about this one off event and would simply check the numbers again another day with similar food or activities.

What makes a healthy, balanced diet?

Ingredients​

2 large aubergines (approx. 700g), cut into 1cm discs
2 large courgettes, cut into 0.5cm strips
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 red pepper, finely chopped
2–3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 heaped tsp dried oregano
1 x 400g can chopped tomatoes
50g Parmesan cheese, finely grated
120g reduced-fat mozzarella, thinly sliced

So yesterday
Breakfast
2 tbs yoghurt BM 6.9 to 7.4
5 Blueberries
2 Brazil nuts

Lunch
1 tbs salmon red from tin
rocket
5 cherry toms. Blood sugar not taken. 6.3 carbs
cucumber 4 thin slices
1 tbs favourite Hellmans



Tea took BS as waiting on tea and getting fidgety and hungry. 3.4 , left hand 3. 6 right hand then hubby took it 3.6. We had been in the garden and I had been ironing the usual boring Saturday good weather things.
Post dinner hubby said he'd go out on bike with me . So i measured as 3.6 too low but nope it was 7.3. I don’t go alone as I can’t look back much with hip and with my knee if i fall off i cant get up alone . So it was like two kids out playing on our bikes . He looked on google only 2.5 miles hardly an adult bike ride but still exercise for me .
then 2 hrs post it was 8.9 then 9.3
This morning its up again at 8.6


Total carbs yesterday 35.6 g
So i think that is low.
was good as do high last night but was miserable watching him tuck into snacks n beer. Although i would have had wine n nuts.
So really feel i cant do no more.
ill keep going but if id been naughty it might gave been worse . i guess .

I thought your bake looked delicious but when I looked at the recipe it has all the ingredients of ratatouille which I love but my other half hates, as it also has the cheese in it I might get away with it ?????
I think I would have green beans or broccoli with it.
