Welcome, I'm sure you will find it interesting and illuminating how people manage their diabetes.

That Hba1C is one that many will be envious of, I often see that DSNs feel lower HbA1C when Type 1 can indicate people are having too many hypos.
How do you manage your condition, how long have you been diagnosed, what insulins are you taking, do you have a Libre or other technology as you seem to have good results.
Sorry for the third degree but it helps people answer any questions.
 
I have loads of Hypos, low as 2.9 my lowest was 1.9 scary that was, hello back at ya Your a Type 2 i see how you managing with it, i was diagnosed in 2006 im on Day Insulin NovoRapid night time insulin is Tresiba i got a month supply of libre sensor each sensor lasts 2 weeks but i have the Onetouch test stripes as a back up. thank you for the questions no need to say sorry.

The NICE guidance means you should be entitled to a Libre on prescription so should be able to use it alll the time to help avoid the hypos, but others may be able to help give you some ideas for adjusting your insulin regime to help with the hypos which as you say must be very scary.
As Type 2 I am dietary managed by following a low carb regime. It was successful in bringing my HbA1C into normal range.
