What kind of insulin? What range are you aiming for.

I'm married to a family who enjoy doing your user name, Hi ! 🙂

Please tell us the story of your Type 2 diabetes since we're only just meeting, eg at what age were you diagnosed (so how long ago) and how long you've been using insulin, plus whether you are still taking any usual Type 2 diabetes tablets or not. What dietary measures you take, whether you have been shown how to count carbohydrates and adjust your pre-meal doses of Novarapid accordingly, or not?

We'll try and help all we can with a bit more info.

Tresiba and nova rapid and between 5 - 10
Are you adjusting the doses based on your results to improve your bgs or are you not confident at adjusting your doses yet?

Have you don’t the free online Bertie course to learn more about adjusting doses?

Welcome to the forum @Catcherofcarp

Sorry to hear you have been having trouble managing your BG levels. It can be an ongoing balancing act keeping levels in range (for as much of the time as you can manage), requiring adjustments and tweaks to dosing strategies as the seasons pass, and from year to year.

Have you been introduced to the concept of carb-counting? This is one way of adjusting doses to the meals you are eating as @Lucyr suggested.

There’s a brief overview here if it would be helpful?
