Hi All
I'm a type 2 who is managing by diet control only now after being on medication initially after diagnosis. Hoping to keep it that way and joined the forum for mutual support!
DiabloT2
Welcome to the forum. Well done for doing that but would you like to say a bit more about how you have managed to get to a point of being able to manage without medication, it is good that you have been 'allowed' to do so as some people find their nurse/doctor is reluctant to say it is OK.
I have managed without meds in the first place by following a low carb regime that is now my new normal way of eating.

Thanks for the welcome. I took the same approach as you by reducing carbs including eliminating sugar altogether. This was the most important thing but I also paid attention to exercise, sleep and stress. I did write up my experience in more detail and have now included a link in my signature if it is of interest.

Very impressive story, and inspiring for those who are vegetarian for whom low carb is often quite challenging to get variety in their meals.

Welcome to the forum @DiabloT2

Glad you have found a way of managing your diabetes that works for you 🙂

We have a number of people on the forum who have found their own way through the maze of options and alternatives to build their own diabetes management toolkit - with or without meds 🙂
