Is there a shortage of the Gluclazide 60 mg tablets? Tried numerous pharmacies in the Swindon / Slough area to no avail. Thanks.

I would be very surprised if that was the case as it is a common diabetes medication. There are issues with the whole pharmaceutical supply system at the moment and one or two other people have reported difficulty obtaining certain insulins but not seen Gliclazide mentioned so far. I believe the problem is due to the logistics of how the system works rather than actual shortages. Hopefully they will have it rectified soon but I will tag @everydayupsanddowns in case Diabetes UK have been informed of the issue and have more info.

I collected mine on Wednesday from my local pharmacy in Bedford...

Welcome to the forum @Robbie987

I haven‘t seen any alerts circulated about widescale known shortages of gliclazide.

Hopefully it will just be a short term issue with local distributors and won’t be too much of a problem.
