Goodbye to beauty

Good morning,
I hope everyone is well?
I am joining this forum after recently being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes following a few months of illness.
Back in November I was admitted to hospital feeling terribly Ill, I tested positive for CMV virus and also turned out to have glandular fever.
During the following few months I had many other tests which showed high liver enzymes and an enlarged liver on CT scan.
My bloods sugars also continued to be high.
The hospital and doctors have monitored these since and after having an antibody test have now diagnosed me with diabetes and non alcoholic fatty liver disease.
I am controlling these with a healthy diet of reduced carbs and no added sugars at the moment, but the diabetes nurse has suggested they will possibly want me to start on medication for the diabetes but until I have my lastest liver enzyme check which is on Wednesday they don’t want to make a decision on which yet.
My HBA1C test was 58, so not too high and my lastest fasting bloods were 8.2
My last liver enzymes bloods were 400 so hoping after eating more healthily recently they will have reduced when I have my next test on Wednesday.
It’s likely they were this high due to infection so hopefully now I’m starting to improve health wise they should be coming down.
The issues I am having is that I am struggling to decide which symptoms I am having are to do with recovery from Glandular fever and which are Diabetes related .
My legs and toes are painful every night.
My vision gets a little blurry on occasion and I am just so tired all the time.
Anyway sorry for the essay, just wanted to say hello and off load
Have a lovely week
