I am on metformin 2x 500mg go up to 1500mg later today. Any way I have had terrible headache the last 3 days and feeling sick and dizzy. Was wondering if this could be my BP being to low

Hello @sandy669,

Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that you have been feely poorly the last few days. We have a lot of members struggle with Metformin. When were you diagnosed and what was your HbA1c?

Diagnosed the week before christmas. Do not know what level my HbA1c is wasn't told.Just that it was to high.Going back see DN in 2 weeks time for bloods

It could be anything.

But, it can also be a good, not bad reaction to metformin.
Headaches can occur due to metformin lowering BG, and should disappear as your body adjusts.

When you see your DN then do ask what your HbA1C is as it will indicate how much work you need to do, dietary changes will be needed but by how much depends on how high your HbA1C is. Metformin is going to help but dietary changes are equally as important if not more so.
Repeating the blood test after only a month will not fully reflect any changes you have made as that test is an average of the previous 3 months, so don't be too disappointed if it has not changed much.

There are a lot of blood tests apart from hba1c.
Without knowing what was done before, it's very good that the DN is taking such an active interest.
Sounds that an excellent surgery that will be offering some good advice.
