Two interesting studies

(Now, the really interesting bit is the links came from our friends on the "red" forum, who have given me a lifetime ban, but decided to email me on the benefits of a high grain and vegetable Mediterranean diet.
To quote their own words -

"Mediterranean diets rich in fruit and vegetables are known to be healthy for people with diabetes.

As well as being protective against type 2 diabetes, Mediterranean diets rich in fruit, vegetables and fibre can help people with diabetes to control their blood sugar levels."

Maybe they'll want me back?

It seems they are promoting yet more benefits

"Mediterranean diet helps symptoms of depression in young men, new research finds"

Mediterranean diet could improve brain function of people with type 2 diabetes

That's probably the website charity lot, not the forum - the advice on the site is often completely insane and makes me think that no one there has ever had to deal with type 2 diabetes, at least, not successfully.

To be fair, I found most of the forum members on that site insane, it's a badge of honour on here to have been banned on that site.

Odd.. I thank them daily for their great advice and support when I most needed it.

And no I'm not banned...

The wind of change appears to be getting stronger.

"Mediterranean diet for heart health"

"Mediterranean diet as effective as statins in terms of reducing heart attack risk, study suggests"

It's good to see the diet being so well promoted.
