I just got my test result on NHS app and GP haven’t called me. Please who can help interpret if I am type 1 or 2.

All I can tell from that is that you have diabetes. Could you perhaps ring them?

Looking at Google and your c-peptide level, it looks to me that it is in the normal range, which would mean you are T2 - BUT you need to get this confirmed by your surgery.

Ahh is the 12th when you had the tests? The antibody will take a couple of weeks that’s probably why. Then you will have a much clearer picture. Going on your c peptide I would take a guess at type 2. Try not to worry, either way we can help you through this xx

I am going to give the gp a call tomorrow. Just fed up.

C Peptide can be higher in the honeymoon period of Type 1. I don’t think the diabetes type can be determined without the antibodies result and other clinical information @Aristotle_T

I didn’t realise this, as this wasn’t how it was explained to me. Apologies Aristotle, looks like you might have to wait a little longer. These test can take a while unfortunately xx

I was told it was a combination of the three factors as C Peptide alone was sometimes unreliable early in diagnosis, especially in adults. X

I supposed I’m the wrong person to advise in this case as all my results were unreliable! Mind you having my c pep repeated next week, but even though I was told I would be getting my anti GAD done after a year they are not doing this now. So as you say a combination gives the full picture. I soldier on. 🙄
