I've found Libre 2 occasionally inaccurate, but after 2 days it usually settles down.
I treat the readings as a guide not 'gospel'.
However, I've never had one where the adhesive has failed me.
What I do is 'wet' shave the part of my arm that is going to receive the sensor. This not only removes the hair but also exfoliates the skin.
I consider this must help the adhesion.

Well if it works it works.

All I do is clean skin with alcohol swap then apply sensor after it drys out, been using libre system for 4 years only had one drop off in that time.

So far find libre 2 very accurate from day 1 to 14, so much more accurate than 1, also notice time lag isn't as long though could be mistaken.

Libre 2 predicts the 15 minute delay between interstitial fluid and blood sugar readings so the lag should not be noticeable.
It does this by extrapolating the current line trend. This is fine when levels continue along the same line during the last 15 minutes. However, if they change direction, they may overshoot. For example, if you correct a hypo, Libre will take longer to show the change of direction and you may see a lower value which is overwritten when the correct data comes in.
This is another reason why hypos and hypo recovery should be checked with finger pricks.

You may find it helpful to apply the sensor a couple of days before you want to start it. This gives the tissue in your arm a chance to react to the foreign body which is suddenly embedded in it and recover before you activate the sensor, so you should get more accurate results from starting the sensor by doing this.

As a woman, I don't need to shave my arm but I have dry skin, so I always exfoliate before applying a new sensor. I also do quite a bit of physical work outdoors with animals and the land so I find an arm strap invaluable in protecting my sensor from getting caught on stuff..... And, as a woman I can tell you that sports bra straps are probably the biggest hazard to Libre sensors, so again the strap helps protect it from those although the strap sometimes gets pinged off the sensor but it does it's job in keeping the sensor safe. The arm strap also acts as a visual reminder to me as to which arm the sensor is on when I am in the shower, so that I don't scrub it off when I am exfoliating, as I managed to do that a couple of times. I feel that the strap was well worth the investment and there have been quite a few times when I would have lost my Libre without it.
