Hi,
I think I am going to try the Newcastle Diet after Xmas, to see what happens, and I think maybe it could help with my fatty liver and liver enzyme levels, perhaps, worth a go etc
I have a number of Q's if anyone could be so kind to answer them.
I'm not really overweight, 5'3" 10 stone (BMI 24.9) - but until my 40's was only 8 1/2 stone, and have some fat around midriff (but not a huge amount) - is it still applicable to me?
As far as I can fathom out from the booklet, I will eat 3 or 4 shakes plus 3 x 80g portions of veggies per day and lots of water
Presumably then, since, for example the pea and spinach soup recipe in the booklet will be just that plus the shakes in a day as it contains 3 portions veg?
I'm also lactose intolerant, so what about those shakes?
I am in Portugal, so I have to find which ones are available here (at an affordable price)
Just to get an idea (I am sure like everything else that they will be more expensive here), how expensive are they in UK?
Is it possible to make your own shakes / shake substitutes?
If so, any links to recipes? (for shakes, not veggie portions)
TIA
Leigh
