The pandemic and lockdown highlighted the importance of companionship and friendship. Various studies have shown the importance of social ties in relation to health, including reducing risks of heart disease and promoting well-being.

I am a student at Durham University, exploring the role of friends and family in relation to the management of type-2 diabetes. If you are interested in taking part in my study, please answer 3 very short questions here!

I have started my research with some members of the Diabetes UK Forum! So far it is going well and I have had great feedback.

Please let me know if you would like to be a part of this research! Thanks, Phoebe.

I have completed interviews with a few members of the Diabetes UK forum! I loved getting to know my participants and have had positive feedback from all of them about the experience! I am still looking for other participants and would really appreciate any help from this community. Best, Phoebe.
