Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hi everyone!

Nice to see a new diabetes site in the UK at long last! Having read some of the threads, I know a few of you too.
I've had diabetes for 50 years this June, Type 1 of course. My son - who is 31, is now a Type 1 as of last June. My ex - who is 53 also found out last year he is a Type 1, so I wonder if it's catching.😱
Anyway - I am off to have a look at what all you wonderful people out there have to say, and maybe talk later.
How come there's no chat room here??

Hi April welcome to DS, I recognise you from DD 🙂

It's ok we are already infected here so you won't be spreading your diabetes here 😉

Hi April, and welcome!🙂 It's hard for me to imagine 50 years with diabetes as I've had it less than a year and am 50 years old! Look forward to hearing your experiences.

Ello April, I remember you from DD too. We must meet up one day for a coffee in Good ol Bude. 🙂

Hi Sue-

Hey - great to see you again! I wondered where you got to! Aren't we having fabulous weather?
