Welcome to the forum @peterfoth. 🙂

I'm so sorry to hear about what you're going through with your feet. Are you receiving any treatment for the pain? Is your specialist aware the pain's impacting your sleep? It must be frustrating for you.

Well done for losing so much weight, it's not easy! How are you finding the Libre? I hope your new insulin regimen will help improve your sugar levels soon.

Hi peterfoth, welcome to the forum.

Just popping in to say hello. So sorry to hear about the health challenges you've experienced, must be quite upsetting given all of the great progress you've made.

It might be worth getting onto your specialist and seeing if there's anything they can do to help. Unfortunately, it can be challenging to deal with the feeling in your feet depending on the cause and the level of nerve damage present. Some people find that when there numbers are stable, their feet improve though as mentioned that depends on the condition of your nerves.

Hopefully, they'll be able to give you some advice, especially as the pain is impacting your sleep. A diabetic podiatrist may be able to help manage your feet on an ongoing basis so worth looking into getting a referral.

Do you reduce your carbohydrate or up your insulin to try to lower your glucose levels?
I found that really strict carb control - under 40 gm a day, means that I don't need medication.
It is something a lot of HCPs seem to neglect to mention as they want medicated normal rather than a outré but normalizing diet.
