HbA1c test in at 40 last one was 38 but that's when I was told to stop all medication so taking that into consideration a score of 40 without out meds sits well with me.

Sound pretty Bob on, congratulations

Well done ,Congratulations

Considering how low your waking readings consistently are, I am very surprised your HbA1c is as high as 40. I was half expecting it to be in the high 20s to low 30s. Of course 40 is an absolutely fine reading and you are to be congratulated, especially as you have come off medication but it just doesn't tie in with the very low waking readings you get every morning.
Do you do any other testing through the day? And have you checked the calibration of your meter/test strips?

Yes test about twice a day very first thing after washing hands then after work before tea as it's normally 7hrs since lunch so goes low when I get home before dinner. Always calibrate the testing at every new pot of strips.

Well done! You'll be relieved that you can come in at the sweet spot without meds (pardon the pun 😛). Keep it up and keep the jokes coming!

That’s fantastic and without meds too.

Well done @Maca44
That all sounds good.

I am impressed - well done.

I had mine this week too and I was a bit cross because mine was 42 without meds. I really thought I had done better this time. My last one before the pandemic was 42 as well.

Oh well I shall use you as a role model and keep on trying to do better.

Well done that’s inspired me

Bravo!

Well I'm up by 2 after stopping meds so maybe that is just our numbers the way I'm looking at it is I can't do much more other than dropping the weight slowly and keep on eating as I am because it's just right for me. Our numbers are good and our body's are managing at this time without meds so I'm just going to be happy with that and stop chasing numbers, to be honest I was expecting a lower number as well but when I gave it some thought I feel lucky that it's where it is and am pleased with that.

Keep doing what your doing we are doing good but I win by 2 :D.
