Hi GillHi, I'm just wondering apart from myself if there are any Type 1"s who does finger pricking instead of using the libre?
I'm a finger pricker too. Tried the Libre but did not get on with it.

Hi Gill
I'm a finger pricker too. Tried the Libre but did not get on with it.
Cheers for this @Kaylz well spotted - I'll go back on that post and edit it 🙂I apologise for this but I just want to say carb counting is matching insulin to carbs consumed not matching carbs to insulin dose as this would suggest a set dose of insulin requiring a set amount of carbs
Please don't let anything put you off - an awful lot of people on here have them and think the world of them. Let me know how you go on with it when you get one.I have been after a Libre for nearly three years. When I finally seemed to be making progress but the posts about having a Libre and finger pricking I am left bemused!
I think you have to make your own decisions but Gill is trying to get to grips with using the system and trying to interpret the information without doing the training so is struggling with the technology and how it can help her. By listening to many different opinions is getting herself confused and stressed which is why she seems to be struggling.I have been after a Libre for nearly three years. I think most of us really love them, but some don't. And it probably takes a while for some people before they get used to using it. (The various videos really are worth watching, even though they often cover some of the same ground (so don't worry too much about skipping forwards).)When I finally seemed to be making progress but the posts about having a Libre and finger pricking I am left bemused!
