Good to hear he will be coming home.

Are you confident with helping him with his diabetes management over the weekend and next week?

Has any sort of follow-up been suggested? Might the District Nurses be able to drop in?
They have put the insulin at 38 in the morning and 16 at night his blood sugars now are 7 to 14 in the morning and later in the day are 20 to 23 they say his target is 8 to 18 is what theve told me. He didn’t manage to get home last night as transport couldn’t bring him home. I am having 2 care calls a day . If I am concerned at all about his blood I have to just ring his doctor up oh and they know all about and what to do so I’m told

That sounds promising @Ibby It must be a relief to know you can phone his doctor if you need help. I hope your husband is home soon. X

Good to have your husband home. You’ll be able to keep a closer eye on him and his food...with the back up of a call to the Dr if required sounds good.

Hopefully feeling more relaxed at home, away from the stresses of the hospital could help with those levels coming down too.

That is good news @Ibby and I am pleased that you have access to support if you are concerned about his levels. Keep in touch.

Thankyou for every ones help early days but let hope things are gone the right way now

Good that you are in regular contact with the Drs to be able to ask questions and get advice.

Glad you have your husband home now, hope things begin to settle for you both
