Ooh no it's not that. Gluten limits what I can have snack wise in the house, gluten free stuff is so expensive.
Have you tried almond flour for cooking? That works very well. If it's a carb free snack then try some sugar free jelly if you like that sort of thing.
There's also meats, cheese, nuts
Fruit is fine as well obviously not carb free though

Yes I have @Pumper_Sue , I make oat cookies with it. 4-5 carbs each, sometimes I might half dip into 80% dark chocolate . I use Stevia for those and even then it's only half the amount of Stevia after I've converted it from actual sugar.

so ive spoken to the Lead DB Nurse, im going to try the Lispro Junior Kwik pen as I dont use a cartridge pen thingy lol. If that doesnt work then Im going to go to the Fiasp. 🙂

Sorry, I am not badgering you but I am curious to understand why you don't use the reusable cartridge pens. Many of us prefer them and find them more robust in addition to other benefits.
I am interested to learn because I have mentioned the reusable pens to others and would hate to think I am being insensitive if there are reasons for not using them that I am unaware of.

Oh no, your not badgering me @helli at all. I'm new to type 1 since last Feb and came away from the hospital with the disposible pen funded on the NHS. I've literally only just found out about cartridges. Something tells me they may be more expensive for the NHS? Though I would have thought they where cheaper. I'll ask them later as the nurse is ringing me to discuss my readings on libreview.

In the below example from Devon formulary, cartridges are actually slightly cheaper!

"Humalog®

(Insulin lispro)
  • Vial (10ml), 100 units per 1ml (£16.61 = 1ml)
  • Cartridge (3ml), 100 units per 1ml (£28.31 = 5 cartridges)
  • Kwikpen® prefilled disposable injection device (3ml), 100 units per 1ml (£29.46 = 5 devices)"
Manufacturers will often supply pens for free through DSNs.

Apart from the obvious environmental benefits of reusable pens, cartridges take up much less space in the fridge and are much more convenient for travel. I wouldn't change back to disposables for anything.

Rage bolus has morphed into "rage blouse" in the past and become an item of clothing I don when handling highs.

That sounds like an amazing auto-correct thing.
If it is actually rage-blouse then I'm getting a hilarious image of the Hulk. You're not green by any chance are you? 😛

Thanks @JJay , it makes sense too. When i speak to my dsn later on Ill ask her why i cant have cartridges.

All I'd say is "Don't make me angry. You won't like me when I'm angry ... or hungry ... or hypo" 😛

Oh I'm the same.
My daughters are very much up with youngster-speak and use the phrase "hangry" to describe me when I'm hungry and angry.
Now I have to add hypo.
So presumably that'll be "hangrypo".
Hypo sounds like hippo.
Oh dear god, they're going to call me the Hangry Hippo aren't they? 😱

Ultra fast is misleading, probably shaved off pre bolus time by 5 mins.

What it has done is smoothed out post food spikes, so it is faster acting than Novo in that respect. Made change over last year to Fiasp.
