That's worrying. Very worrying indeed.
I have been trying to eat low carb since I left home at 18 - and I am 70 now. The weight of opinion about diet I have experienced is almost unbelievable, yet the more I reported the results of a diet which did not suit me, the more it was my fault.
When I was diagnosed in 2016 I went low carb and was no longer diabetic in 80 days. Not only that but my weight was reducing, although I did not notice it, and my cholesterol went town - a delayed reaction the nurse decided. Yeah. Right.

That's fantastic. I am very pleased for you indeed.

In any scientific study of a widely occurring pathology, the results from one treatment of one case can easily be labelled an anomaly, a flyer, a curiosity. If what you report has been studied using Randomised Controlled Trials, I'd love to read them.
I really ought to make the time to search for myself.

I was diagnosed in late 2016 and told I was a really bad diabetic. In 80 days I went from Hba1c of 90 to 47, then at 6 months 41 - mid 2017, so '18, '19 ' 20 and now mid '21. Hba1c 42.
Not once have I seen a doctor, not been asked what I did.

Type 2 diabetes costs people dearly, and the NHS is paying out to cover medication and treatment, amputations and all the other complications yet there is still the same tablets and torment for many people and the same total lack of interest in how people are treating what we are still told is a progressive and intractable condition which we bring on ourselves by ignoring the good advice we are given.

Did you ask to see anyone during that time?
Just extracting the information on my numbers was hard enough.
The receptionist sometimes as too quick and said 'All OK, no further action' and put the phone down.
