I wake up about three 2:30 to 3 in the morning with the feeling that something is being poured into my body I’m not sure what it is but it keeps me awake is it what they call the 1 foot on the floor feeling and if it is how do you get back to sleep after it

The Foot on the Floor is a raise in blood sugars once you have got out of bed ... and put a foot on the floor
There is also the Dawn Phenomenon which occurs before we wake.
Both are our livers dump glucose into our blood to give us energy to start the day.

If you are waking in the middle of the night, my recommendation is to measure your blood sugars to determine whether the reason is diabetes related or not. I am pretty sure we are all guilty of blaming diabetes for a niggle or two but, unfortunately, diabetes does not protect us from other conditions and illnesses.

I’m intrigued by your description. Can you elaborate? Do you mean “poured into your body” in that you feel it in your stomach? Is it a hyped up or energetic feeling? Is it a feeling on the surface of your skin? A hot feeling rushing over you? Like water being poured over your skin?

I I think it might be anxiety I just wanted to check if anybody else had the same feeling anyway thanks answering everything for me

If it is anxiety, that’s a common time to wake up with it. I find reading for a while can help - a real book not on a screen. You could also try a warm non-caffeine drink.

Some good suggestions from @Inka for you @mage 1

There are some good breathing and ‘mindfulness’ or ‘grounding’ exercises you can do when you wake and feel anxious or overwhelmed too.

Hope you find a way to return to restful sleep.
