I'm a bit concerned by this as this seems quite high for fasting BG as this is effectively that, a fasting BG. I last ate a carton of soup at around 2am and that doesn't really push up the BG.
But lately I have been a bit bad with the diet: eating a lot of tofu sausages and burgers each day (i.e. microwaving the entire packet), binging on Gulyian no added sugar dark chocolate but taking the meds. Blood sugars all seemed in normal range.
I haven't taken my meds yet today I went to sleep at about 6am woke up after 12:30pm. Tested it, it was 6.0. Tried another finger it was 5.6.
Last couple of weeks eating these tofu sausages and the no added sugar chocolate and eating a lot of them although my weight hasn't gone up it's stayed the same.
Will I have done permanent damage? I already have background retinopathy. I'm trying hard to reverse everything but it's a struggle.
Should I just stop eating the tofu sausages and the no added sugar chocolate for a while or completely altogether?
