well i finally did have an infection and have just started course of antibiotics. bad tablets as they make you feel sick and were once used for alcoholics for obvious reasons it made them puke, yuk.

On Monday i have an appointment, i did a message about something found in the abdomen and then had my ultrasound screwed up so will know after examination if there is something or if it was diverticulitis as that can also cause a mass.

just wondering though how much diabetes plays when we have infections and if the levels wonder a bit.

Yes, poorly controlled diabetes can increase the chance of infections, and having an infection tends to increase blood glucose.

I am really strict about blood glucose levels and I don't seem to need to worry about infections - even the infamous Blandford Fly which is legendary around here for the vileness of their bites did not prove much of a bother, though one of the half dozen bites is still visible on my leg, in the past people have been in hospital with them.
I really do have to be very strict though, and I realise that it is not possible for everyone to get the same results even with strictness - we just have to cast the dice and tally up the dots, and some land on a ladder, others a snake.
