To flu jab or not to flu jab

Generalised observation on vaccines. They are one of the great success stories of medicine having saved many millions of lives. The evidence for them being safe is overwhelming. No one should refuse a vaccination for Flu or Covid if it is recommended to you.

I would suggest getting Flu and Covid together would be not very nice.

Anyone who says vaccines are wrong are idiots
 
That's interesting, because only recently I read the reverse - that when someone is infected with one virus they are less likely to be infected with another due to what's called 'viral interference'.

I've only had flu twice in my life and it knocked me flat both times, so I've had the jab every year since turning 65 (at Boots).

I’ve seen both now. I don’t know which is true, or if they both are true in different circumstances, but I hope none of us ever have to put either theory to the test!
 
Just checking back in to say I had the jab. Completely painless and seemingly without side effects. Thanks for all your advice
