Tresiba pen help

I very much doubt an emergency pharmacy will have a Novopen in stock but they should be able to dispense a disposable pen containing Tresiba as that is a pretty standard product. You really must make a complaint to the hospital. Sending her home without Tresiba which puts her at risk of DKA when she was admitted for exactly that reason, is totally unacceptable.
I know, we're onto it.....as I couldn't park when collecting her my daughter went to get her and didn't think to check all her medication

Thank you, that is a great help, although when I'm asking what her pen looked like she keeps saying it was green....
Likely it is Novopen Echo Plus which comes in red or a green-ish blue .

Novopen pen 6 only comes in a much darker blue or silver

A greenish blue maybe as said above. As long as she gets a pen that can inject her Tresiba, that’s the important thing. It’s also possible she was given a pen with a sticker/colour on it to highlight it as her basal pen, eg:

I do hope you get success very soon.

Hi. It is totally shocking that they have sent your mother home without any means of injecting her Tresiba as this puts her at very increased risk of having another DKA. Did the pen dispense whole units or half units? The NovoPen 6 (dispenses whole units) or the NovoPen Echo (dispenses half units.... which is really useful if your Mum takes small doses) Do you know what colour you Mum's pen was?
She keeps saying it was green. I'm not sure of the units
