I adopted a vegan diet and my blood sugars are staying too high, when I say vegan I mean real food not processed so typical food is vegetable juices, avocados, bananas, berries, vegetables, rice, oats, nuts, seeds and some goji berries in the soaked oats.  Looked at the vegan menu and compared the carb load and found that is average 20 grams a day higher than my existing diet so, a little stumped, only on vegan diet to improve my intake of whole foods its not I do not like meat but,...<br />

Well my joy at falling pregnant in August was short lived with the loss of our much wanted rainbow baby at 6 weeks. <br />
<br />
I’m back and now approaching 5 weeks pregnant having fallen on the first cycle post miscarriage. It’s incredible really. Tried so hard for over ten years with nothing then three times in a year I’ve fallen pregnant at the ripe old age of 39. <br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hi everyone, I&#039;m 19 and a student and have been diagnosed with type 1 for a year.<br />
<br />
My HbA1C was 79 mmol/mol when diagnosed July 2018 so I started insulin, it was 47 mmol/mol in December 2018, then 51 mmol/mol in April 2019 and finally was a shocking 89 mmol/mol in August this year. A result of 47 mmol/mol was incredible for me. And the 51 mmol/mol is also something to be proud of, especially within the first year. Then it all went so wrong.<br />

Has anyone here had any issues with their employer as a result of their diabetes? <br />
I&#039;m type one and unable to do my job as a bus driver as dvla have revoked my licence because I don&#039;t yet have 3 months sugar readings.<br />
My employer seems quite happy to let me sit at home and struggle financially on sick pay whilst I stabilise everything but it&#039;s not helping my overall health.<br />
My GP seems to think work are legally obligated to make some adjustments so I can get back to work.(obviously...<br />

I am having an enforced rest due to illness, so using the time to potter around and get some projects finished off.  Very pleased with my sketchbook/journal that combines my handwoven fabric cover, Folded Secrets pockets for things we will gather on our travels, and the bookbinding skills that I have used before. I know this won’t be a worry for old hands but need some reassurance.<br />

I am due a new pump on 1 Feb.  I have just been told that the next  ‘meet the reps’ is in March.<br />
I was advised that my old pump will probably keep going.  I am away abroad in February so worried about what to do if it goes wrong.  I was told to just switch to pens, since the pump will then not be under warranty. <b> Is this normal to have the meet...</b><br />
