Not new to diabetes UK as I have donated for years, but was motivated to sign up after my husband (also type 2) called for a repeat prescription and was told he now has to buy test strips, pioglitazone and ramipril over the counter. The A &amp; E doctor sent me home with some codeine and advised me to rest but keep mobile, which on the whole I’ve tried to do. But after a short trip to Tesco on Saturday, I wasn’t on my own, I’m now finding I can barely walk around for more than 4/5 minutes without being in excruciating pain and I am struggling to weight bare on my left leg.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[My girlfriend is 21 years old, very sporty/physically active, slim, and eats pretty well. Yet despite all this, she was diagnosed as pre-diabetic last week. (she&#039;s black/caribbean and her dad - in his 70&#039;s - is diabetic so I know there&#039;s a higher risk)<br />

I&#039;m really worried because after reading all the things people should do/eat/avoid, there isn&#039;t much more she <i>can </i>do to live a healthy lifestyle. <br />

My son just turned 15 yesterday and I&#039;m having a difficult time with him taking care of his sugars plus puberty.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hi, I am currently using Dexcom G5 and am considering buying a smart watch. My phone is an iPhone 6 but I would consider getting a different phone if it would allow me to use a smart watch with better CGM and Mapping functionality.<br />
Do any walkers/mountaineers have experience of a smart watch that can show CGM + Ordnance survey map + Grid reference? I am particularly interested in the Garmin smart watches (e.g Garmin Fenix 5Plus) but would like to know of any cheaper alternatives!!.<br />
