Hi Everyone,
Having a nightmare this week with my blood sugars. I have no idea what is going on. I'm waking up high, cant seem to get it down by mid-morning then come lunch time I'm averaging 7.2 then I drop to 3.7 just had 2 glucose tablets and 2 small biscuits.....10 minutes later 21.5! Just feel like crying, scared to eat anything because it's just not making sense. Last week I did ok, I thought maybe I had a dodgy pen but I wouldn't be dropping if the pen wasn't working!
Anyone else Yo-yo for no reason?

Yeah, i can often have days that make no sense......

And the stress of the mystery likely doesn't help the blood sugar either..

do you think you need to evaluate any doses...

yep, I have days like that too

I'm basically going back to basics on it and trying to take back control...failing miserably. It's been high every morning and for no reason. I've just taken a correction shot as it's far too high at 21 to leave it, I woke up on Satursday to a read of 15.2 (Horrified) so I took a correction shot went to Asda for the food shop came back an hour later 17.3!!! I hadn't eaten anything! My DR has reduced my Lemimir down from 22 to 18 so maybe that is too low? I'm trying, it just scares me being high.

do you sleep well? insomnia gives me silly morning numbers sometimes

It does sound to me like your Levemir dose is not right for you.
I hope you can get it sorted soon , going high and low is horrid.

Funnily enough I haven't been sleeping well, and I think it's because I'm worried about my bloods. My levemir at 22 though I found I was dropping through the night, maybe I need to tweak it only slightly to 20 and see how I go.
