Had my yearly review today and yes got an appointment for an OGGT.
At the start of my review I waved my NHS Pacesetters folder around and asked the DN if she was aware of it. She said she had been to a meeting and that I was the nominated patient. We had a short discussion on the procedures and of cause she had been told one thing and I another. We came to an agreement on how we would deal with things, she will get the DD to give me a printout of all my results and I will enter them into the folder, which she signed and dated with a short detail on what was decided at the review.
To get back to my OGGT. She asked how I had been getting on since my half yearly. Told her since then I had my doubts about having Diabetes, especially after both she and the DD had said I needed one. She replied that once diagnosed there?s no need for another test. It was then that I dropped bomb shell, but I?ve never had an OGGT, I was diagnosed on a finger BS test. She checked my records, apologised and booked me in for 8th March.

HbA1c 6.5%, Cholesterol 4.8, BP 128/70.
Plus a stack of other numbers 🙂
