Hi

Currently I weigh around 17 and a half stone and obviously part of managing my diabetes is to reduce this weight considerably.

My diet has dramatically improved and I now go to the gym around 3-4 times a week and spend around an hour and a half there.

I am slowly reducing my weight but I'm wondering if I can take XLS medical to help me as well? Currently I take 2 metformin tablets (500mg) a day. I'm not looking for a quick fix but just something to help me get there faster.

Has anyone used it? Is there any advice? Are there better products out there?

Thank you
B x

"Vitamin B5 & B12 promote normal energy metabolism, and vitamin B6 promotes normal protein and glycogen metabolism. *Protein, honey and cocoa natural at source. Protein helps to maintain muscles and bones. **Substituting two daily meals of a healthy balanced energy restricted diet with meal replacements contributes to weight loss and replacement of one daily meal contributes to the maintenance of weight, after weight loss. To achieve the specified results it is necessary to follow the leaflets preparation and dietary instructions. Make sure you drink enough liquid (2L a day). Remember this alongside light exercise and a low-calorie diet.2.....

Above is the bit in light grey and very small print on their website - they obviously don't want you to read it. I have copied and pasted it so you can see what it says and reading it tells you exactly why they don't want you to read it. It seems to be a vitamin B supplement and only works if you eat fewer calories. What it does not tell you is that eating fewer calories will work just as well if you don't take the supplement.

Personally I would treat it as snake oil and keep going with what you are doing now and be looking to gently reduce your calorie intake if you want to speed up your progress.

I don’t think there is any need at all to take a supplement.

we have had many many members over the years successfully achieve their weight loss goals simply by moderating carb intake and aiming for better BG management.
