I am running a project at Plymouth Marjon University to learn more about how education and support groups that help people with long-term health problems, such as diabetes, work. Not every town has a group to help with this sort of thing, and the ones that are available can be quite different from one another. Everybody is different, so they don't work in the same way for everyone either. There are lots of questions we could try to answer about these groups and it is important that the questions we ask are the ones that will help people who have long-term health problems the most. If you know what this is like you will understand much more about which questions we should be asking.
How you can help
If you are over 18 years old, live in Devon or Cornwall, have a long-term health problem, and would like to help, it would mean coming to a small group discussion, either in person at Plymouth Marjon or online, whichever would be best for you. The group will be small and made up of other people who have long-term health problems and myself so that we can talk about what you think could be important for this project. The project has been reviewed by the Marjon Ethics Committee. If you would like to know more or would like to join this group discussion then you can email me at golder.e@pgr.marjon.ac.uk
Thank you
Kind regards
