Shes only young , diagnosed just about 6 months or so ago, bloods running in the high 20's alot but doesn't have an appointment to see clinic till July. Shes on 2 injections a day. Shes doesn't seem to have ketones. Just don't know what to do or say to help. What advice to offer. Apologies if her mum is a member and reads this but I don't think she is.

Did her mum tell you she's worried? Being in her 20s a lot is not good. I know those 2 injections a day are rubbish, we've been trough it. If mum starts talking I'd suggest to her to ring her DSN for some advice. She doesn't have to wait till July. C's DSN is available to us 24/7, even for trivial questions.

Hi,

it's quite difficult for us to offer sound advice without knowing more about her and her treatment.

He best move is to get hold of the telephone number of her Diabetes Specialist Nurse and call for advice.
