I started my work yesterday in a small cafe but it went really badly. I did 5 hours from 10 - 3 but didn't get a break. It was also much more difficult, energy wise than I had expected and by the time I finished I was really hungry, exhausted and aching all over. I went home and slept for 4 hours and then had to take pain killers because the pain in my legs was unbearable. I had only tried it for 1 day but have already quit and I feel like a failure.
After work I had to walk home, it took me 3/4 hour to do what would usually take 10 - 15 mins, and I was being over taken by old ladies with shopping trollies and I really noticed people doing things that I can't do. I am apparently less fit than a 70 - 80 year old, unable to carry a bag of shopping, I can't get up once I have bent down to pick something up ... It is horrible how it made me notice all these things that I usually ignore, and I can't believe how bad I have let this get. It has really got me down, but I am determined to make positive changes to my diet and take up some sort of low impact exercise soon. I also need to really push my doctors to get something sorted.
