How true @gail2, we don't always appreciate what we've got until it's gone as the old adage goes. On my walks I often send up silent thanks to whoever or whatever is out there. That I'm 65 and can walk at 4mph despite having broken my ankle 5 years ago, that I have a warm house with enough healthy food on the table. That despite our economy and social system being broken, we don't live in a war zone and there is some form of benefits in place (even if it doesn't go far enough). That technology is able to bring us fantastic spaces like this forum. That even though it may rain and be cold, the sun will come out again at some stage! That we largely still have a free NHS, despite the creaks and strains it is showing. The older I get, the more I appreciate the small things in life...one of the few benefits of age! 🙂
