Winton Woods senior doesn’t let diagnosis keep her down

Forest Park—Javarra Richardson makes her academics at Winton Woods High School a top priority, all while dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of Type 1 diabetes. “Javarra is in the top 25 percent of her class and has worked very hard to overcome setbacks that would have crippled many,” said her counselor Nikki Bunton. “Despite whatever curve balls life has thrown her way, Javarra continues to work hard to achieve her goal of becoming an engineer.”
