is it ok to drink a couple of glasses of wine? I’m not much of a drinker but was hoping to enjoy a glass or 2 of Prosecco tonight

Diabetes has never stopped me enjoying wine, only drink on a weekend and only reds, excemption being on holiday when anything goes.

Go for it! Everything in moderation, of course. You might find that it lowers yr BG in the short term - something like your liver being programmed to deal with alcohol before it deals with carbs.

It was lovely! I watered it down with lemonade so it lasted longer

I find that red wine is fine, and I think prosecco has very few carbs too, so enjoy! :D
