Relationship to Diabetes

We have diabetic medications

To help diabetes every day

We take them, we inject them

Feeling balanced all the way

The one thing really needed

It cannot be prescribed

We have it, we could use it

It nestles deep inside

Every second of every minute

Every minute of every hour

It is there, but it’s not easy

It’s something called WILLPOWER

Over ruling bad decisions

Organising in your mind

It clarifies those choices

You have got this now, you’ll find

WILLPOWER is a strength you have

So you have to switch it on

It protects you from those issues

Then each day’s a better one

If you feel you’re slipping under

And your life is feeling sour

Grab a hold of diabetes

Put your will into WILLPOWER

Willpower doesn’t protect you from any diabetes related issues though. You can have all the willpower in the world and still have complications of diabetes, because willpower isn’t what prevents them.

You are right, It doesn’t protect, but it does inspire to try to give yourself a better control of it. It’s a positive step against a negative condition. And any kind of positivity isn’t a bad thing.

Yes but I was referring to this line “it protects you from those issues”. When it comes to diabetes, willpower protects you against nothing.
