Will someone please shout at me?.....

Hi Ann. No shouting from me either. It's not the Magnums that's the problem but the reasons that you eat them. You are comfort eating as a love and happiness substitute. So, I'm sending you lots of love and reminding you that you have a wedding and a new grandchild to look forward to.

I like Davids comment. Love the person you are Ann, she's worth loving. Take care. XXXXX

Ann

I just saw this. No shouting from me either, just hugs. I often have the urge to comfort eat too. It is normally between meals and when no one is around to see what I am doing.

Have you tried keeping an honest food diary? Maybe if you force yourself to write down everything you eat, it will help you stop (or make you feel worse, and therefore eat more treats).

Maybe you could take a small treat out with you (freddo bar?) so when the urge to eat the Magnum comes you can have a small bit of choc instead.

I wish I knew the answer.

Hugs
Rachel

Ann, no shouts from me either, just a gentle nudge! I comfort eat a lot too so I understand how hard it is. Like others have said, cutting out the comfort food altogether is hard, so try a smaller substitute 🙂 I haven't solved the problem yet either! Sending you lots of love xx

Lots of love to you Ann. I agree with KatieB - I freeze my yogurts as they last longer and take the place of ice cream. You could amalgamate the above suggestions - take along a frozen yogurt and a freddo bar. Sheer luxury! Good luck xxx

Hi Ann

We all do it and feel guilty but we're only human and fall off the wagon now and again. Did you notice a huge spike after them or did the exercise help?

Sending you hugs (((())))
Donna 🙂

loving the suggestions of frozen muller light yoghurts 🙂

hope you're doing ok Ann - there's loads of ideas on here that hopefully will help you out. Also chewing gum I find tends to help me....so if you're going for a walk and know you're going to be tempted, take a flavoured chewing gum and have that. Worth a try?!

Great ideas everyone - I used to freeze the grapes and yogurt but completely forgot about it so will start again. I also like the sound of freddo bars - does anyone know how many cals and carbs in one?

No shouting Ann - we all have done it. Could you try a more energetic pasttime than walking - so you wouldn't be able to eat as you do it?

I wonder if you could freeze the freddo bar?🙂
