when i had gd there was a lot of foods that sent my b/s high now im type 2 will the same food affect me the same i tend to stick to about 3 meals before that didnt send my readings high , didnt mind so much as it was only for a few months but dont feel i can like the rest of my life like that lol.
my dr said i dont need to test b/s but how will i know.
 
You won't know. End of story. So already you know more about your diabetes than your GP does.

We don't agree with that one little bit. We think everyone should 'Test, Review, Adjust' and the meter and strips be provided to enable you to do it.

I think there are some links somewhere on here that you should find useful and if someone else hasn't posted the ones used on this forum in a wee while, I'll post some myself off another forum that I'm more familiar with.
