Do people come to work with colds??

Literally sitting between two people snuffling and sneezing, have been for the last two days.

Blood sugars now going through the roof and refusing to come down, don't feel coldy yet but it's only a matter of time I'm willing to bet

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR 😡

Or rather, why can't they follow simple infection control measures such as using tissues and handwashing before touching things like door handles?

I've got it at home at the moment, Bruce and my mum are full of it! Wont let Bruce near me haha x

Most places would not see a cold as justification for time off work. Not everyone gets paid sick leave.
That's fair enough but we have a VERY flexible working from home policy so it could be completely avoided!!

I'd have missed at least 3 months of school and work annually cos I had a rotten thick cold every single winter and the joke when I started work - in the household department of a large insurer - was that it lasted from October to March inclusive, since that was the period that all water pipes had to be drained and the supply turned off at the main for all unoccupied property we insured!
