Im getting more and more confused about why bg levels.
Today as an example:
Waking - 9.9
Breakfast - porridge
2 hours after - 8.7
Snack - Gingerbread man (treat from a friend everyone else had jam donuts!)
Pre lunch - 8.1
Lunch - Ham salad, crisps and a packet of popcorn (I had the munchies!)
2 hours after lunch 7.3

Most days are the same for me, wake up high, eat and numbers go down!
I know I'm a bit strange (getting that in before anyone else does) but .............. come on!
I know its not exercise causing it as I do a desk job.

Any clues?

Its not the Porridge ! I have said in the past, stress & things get at me now & again. LOWERS MY bg. I had a Libre on & was playing chess on the comp. I don't like to loose & my bg went down. There's me thinking you need to be running up & down ladders to reduce your bg. Life 😉

I have given up trying to find the Rhyme or Reason. I often don't get the same results eating and doing the same things.

Well surely that's just a perfect pic of Dawn Phenomena in operation - ie your BG continues to rise when/after you rise each day, until you break your fast.

Eating anything at all stops it - only then do the drugs exercise and everything else start to help.

Out of interest, I wonder what would happen with a lower carb load at breakfast or lunch. I’m not quite sure how Glic works - is it one of the ones that promotes insulin release? Maybe your pancreas is pushing out extra than you need at the meals, and less when you are not eating?

Same thing with me,
Yesterday b/g went down after breakfast 7.2 before down to 7.1 after.
Today slice of wholemeal from same loaf, egg laid by the same chicken b/ g up after breakfast! 7.2 to 8.00
I don't understand it either.
