On World AIDS Day, another mention of an article by Dr Max Pemberton from 19 April 2014. Text and tags are clear, although headline isn't - type 2 diabetes only, with no mention of type 1 nor any other types.

Perhaps a huge public education programme about preventing / delaying onset of type 2 diabetes, along the lines of "erotic quarrying" as one of my friends described the cinema adverts, would be worth trying?
 
My first thought when reading your post was "what tosh"! But, he makes good points when the article is read through.

I'm not convinced that type 2 progression need be as bad as it clearly is though. I feel that it is a failure in treatment and also a failure to educate people with type 2 properly.
