Just read a BBC article today to do with how three words can locate where I am. Very useful, I think. :)

I read about that the other day in our local paper. Apparently in our area the fire brigade are using it to identify the exact locations of stubble fires etc, so they can get to them more quickly. (Wouldn’t do me any good, I don’t own a smartphone)

By the way, just in case anyone thinks that I gave my actual location away..... No I didn't. Those three words are for the Eiffel Tower. :)

I thought I'd found it. Someone said I was in a down market seaside town. There was a sea front and some trams.
    You've completly lost me.

It's a smartphone App called What3Words. It divides the planet into 3m x 3m squares and has assigned three words to each of those locations. So, if you have the App on your phone you can determine the location and its associated three words. In certain circumstances this can be used to direct people more easily to your location (so long as they have the App too). I think they only needed 60,000 words to do this.
