Another silly question off me. (I'm full of these today!) Testing is best two hours after a meal. What do you do if say you eat your meal and then an hour later you have a pudding of some description. Do you still test two hours after the meAl or two hours from the last thing you ate? Confused.....

In my opinion a pudding would be best eaten straight after a meal rather than waiting an hour after as the meal in theory depending what it was should slow down any spike from the pudding but hopefully someone more clued up will be along to help soon as I feel I cant help as we're different types x

As a T2 and on insulin, I am advised not to worry too much about the 2 hour post meal test. Always before meals so dose can be judged, but then not to worry too much until next meal time.
Of course, if trying something new, or feeling odd then I test away!
