I have been diagnosed some 7 months now. However, as some of you might know, I have tried Metformin & Gliclazide (Gliclazide sencond time around not good!) But, I have not been on any medication long term, only a few days maximum and I become very unwell. The thing is, as I am not, at this time on any medication, when would I need to inform DVLA of my Diabetes?

Please don't tell me I should of long ago....will I get into trouble?

I am in receipt of Disabilty and am just about to get my mobility car soon...what should I do? Will I not be able to drive?

A very, very worried Ellowyne :(

hi sweetie...I thought it was only if you were insulin dependant X

Thank you Am, Yes, I checked there and it states on the DirectGov page that if you are on Tablets/Diet alone that you do not have to inform the DVLA. However, when I looked on the Diabetes Uk link it said that I did need to inform the DVLA....Here is the link

Now I am confused and worried about my mobilty car...it's my legs!

Check the date on the DUk site and on the DVLA site - last time I looked DUK hadn't updated their advice when DVLA issued revised guidance
