KEEN cyclists will be using pedal power to raise money for charity when they hit the streets of London this weekend. Here we meet some of the plucky participants who will be raising vital cash for a variety of good causes...

• Charlie McCaig, 53, from Weymouth, will be competing in the Prudential Ride London-Surrey in aid of the Leukaemia and Lymphoma research.PUTTING IN THE MILES:

Mr McCaig said that part of the reason he chose the charity is because leukaemia was, in part, the cause of his brother’s tragic death at the age of 18.

He said: “You hear these types of stories quite a lot and it makes me even more determined to raise the money.

“It's a cause that is not well noticed until someone close to you is hit by it. It’s not the most well known cancer, but it's still a fantastic cause.
