As someone said above, I do love all food, there's very little food that I don't like TBH.
I have too many favourites, mostly unhealthy. I am still really, really trying not to eat those if at all possible.
However, now that I am more considered about what I eat and try to be healthier, I really like a nice salad, but spiced up in some way, eg: feta cheese and olives, or a nice Caesar dressing, or a big dollop of hummus on the side, etc.
After experimenting with egg bites/muffins yesterday I can see that they will also be a firm fave from now on, trying out many different combos and flavours.
Cheers

I like chips!

I think that's a really good point: the thought of a standard lettuce and tomato salad fills me with gloom - but add radishes and a French dressing to it and I'll chuck the sweets and crisps in the bin.

Dark chocolate, occasionally even a dark lindt ball whatsitsname chocolate. 1 or 2 mini butter shortbread biscuits. Salami. Peanuts. On holiday I had a small bruschetta. Full English with one piece of toast. Or eggs on toast. Ripe parsimmon

I like the milk chocolate Lindt balls - but I'm too much of a southern softie for the dark chocolate ones :(

85% dark chocolate. Or a spoonful of peanut butter. Or cheese. None of these require insulin, things cease to be a comfort food for me if I have to faff around with maths and insulin to eat them!

I actually forgot to mentioned what previously has been a lifesaver in helping me get rid of sugary stuff, that is dark chocolate covered peanuts.. they have a small amount of sugar but only needed two or three two satisfy my sweet tooth.
If there was one treat I'd recommend it would be these

I like the M&S ones 🙂: I don't like the chocolate so much on other versions.

I've just realised that you said "two or three": me guzzling a whole packet at a time makes me seem as greedy as a greedy thing 😱

I love my food but tend towards sweet rather than savoury. Don't miss crisps but still really craving a nice oven baked rice pudding on occasion. As yet I have not succumbed. Always loved really dark chocolate so happy I can indulge now and again. Treated myself to Lindt dark chocolate with whole hazelnuts at Christmas. Winter comfort food is always a nice soup. Can't beat it in cold wet windy weather.
