Hi there Linsay and welcome to the site have you had good care ? x

Overall yes. I'm 30 now so things have changed significantly over the years. New Year resolution is to exercise more and I'm on a diet so hoping 2010 is going to be a good year!

Good luck with that im still going fine with my resolutions so fingers crossed lol. What insulins are you on etc etc.

Hi and welcome i am new to this forum and new to Diabetes, so good luck for the new year

Hi Linsay, welcome to the forum🙂 We have quite a few people with long experience, so will look forward to you adding your experiences to the mix!

Humalog x3 a day depending on food, exercise etc. Dosage varies between 4 - 6. Glargine at night about 18 units.

Not that good at taking the blood tests though - but getting better!

Thanks for your welcome. I'm looking forward to hearing how other people cope (especially their view of the care they receive on the NHS...)x

Welcome Lindsay, I'm sure your experience will be helpful to all

Just wondering if you are carb counting at all? We have been talking about that quite alot the past couple of days.

Yes, I carb count everytime I eat and have done since I was diagnosed.

Having said that I'm on a low carb diet and trying to keep them to under 30g a day. Not that easy but feeling much better.

Last time I did it my Hba1c and cholesterol (and most importantly weight) came tumbling down. I know its controversal but it works for me. The dietician hates me!

Hi Linsay and welcome to the forum.
