Hi ,
When it comes to weekly shopping what does everyone put in there trolley when it comes too meal time planning etc what are the staples ie must haves , just curious .Me personally have found a new love for scrambled egg and beans or omelette's . Anyway would love to hear what ppl put in there trolley when it comes to living with diabetes  maybe i can pick up sum pointers for some new ideas anyway just a thought .

Salmon. Oodles of salmon. A couple of dinners - a salmon fillet coated in rapeseed oil with dill sprinkled on top, baked, with veggies. And a couple of breakfasts of smoked salmon with Philadelphia Light on top of Ryvita crisp breads, or previously on a bagel. Tasty, good for cholesterol levels, good for losing weight, lots of protein. I just wish it was cheaper though.

Lots of green veg, carrots, aubergines, courgettes, red peppers, blueberries, raspberries, apples, mango, lemons, flat leaf parsley, avocado, salad veg inc tomatoes, chickpeas, lentils, quinoa, bulgar wheat, brown rice, pasta, sweet potatoes, cereal and granola, almond butter, mixed seeds, Koko ‘milk’, silken tofu, cheese, wholemeal, sourdough bread, noodles, salmon, tinned tuna, chocolate, mini Coke cans, flapjacks, tea and herbal teas, wine, chocolate trifle.

We eat a very varied diet so have few “every week staples”.
Usually, our shopping list is whatever we wrote on the pad on the fridge because we ran out plus whatever we else we need to make use of the veg box plus milk.
If you look at our “always in so we need to replace when we run out” list, it will contain a long list of herbs and spices, flour (of multiple types for bread and general baking), tins of tomatoes, coconut milk, tuna, chickpeas, barlotti beans (for home made baked beans), black beans (for Mexican fare), butter beans (for Thai red curry) and sardines, a variety of chilli sauces, tomato ketchup, cheddar, butter, white caster sugar, light brown sugar, sultanas, dried apricots (for Moroccan fare), olive oil, sunflower oil, honey, wine vinegar, fresh chillis, fresh ginger, white onions and eggs.

Thanx for all the reply's i will definatly be adding to my shopping list for shopping tomorrow 🙂

tbh i'm willing to try anything at the moment , i'm trying to get my levels down and i'm testing myself daily , i know i dont have too but i need to educate myself and see how my body reacts to what i eat your right in what you say and ill bear that in mind but still there has been sum good comments already on this topic .
