whats free on the NHS

Following on from my previous post about Flu Jabs being free for Diabetics, What else is free?

I know about eye tests and also prescriptions.

But is there anything else worth mentioning?

As I don't suppose the surgery will volenteer the information.😉

You may get help towards the price of glasses and some do get podiatry help with there feet..my mind has gone blank at the minute and i cant think of anything else

I got sponsorship off Novo Nordisk for a guides trip to Canada a few years ago. I think it was ?100. Better than a poke in the eye!

I get my retinal test for free.

I got a free pen and sympathy off Sanofi Aventis today.....Yeah, ok you kind of have to work there to benefit from the pens....


But yeah, we have a walk in clinic for both general diabetes and for podiatry. But generally, most of the NHS is free, it's sort of the point.
(Sorry, that's only meant to be taken with a hint of sarcasm) ;-)
