A non diabetic person ate 8 belgian chocolates after a large dinner? How high would their blood sugar go and for how long?

Not that I know anyone, diabetic or non diabetic that would do something so outrageous, just asking for, you know, scientific reasons. No really i am. :D

Not being diabetic, they wouldn't go that high and we would be back within normal levels quickly I would think........

Well I've tested my wife with a 1/4 of a sainsburys chocolate cake, she was in the low 5's before she started and min 4's after 🙂:D

Well precisely Mark - that's what is so very very annoying about all these ruddy ABnormal ie non-diabetic persons .....

Oh but if you could measure the amount of guilt we feel ...:D

A non-diabetic would experience a spike in blood glucose levels, some would only be small for others it could be quite large, but it would return to normal levels within 2 hours of eating..

This was why doctors were very anti about the Chemist diabetic checks, a lot of people going into the chemist just after eating, being checked raise bg's detected so sent off to their GP's for futher testing...

Thanks, all very interesting. I guess the truth is everyone is different and results will be too.
